
J.R. Avon Nets Hat Trick, Tucker Robertson Breaks Petes Record as Petes Blowout Bulldogs 8-2

Peterborough Petes' J.R. Avon battles Hamilton Bulldogs' Logan Morrison and Gavin White

(Peterborough, ON) On Thursday, December 15th the Petes hosted the Hamilton Bulldogs for their fourth meeting with the defending OHL Champions this season. It was the second last game for the Petes before the holiday break, which will see the Petes return to action at the PMC on December 29th. The Petes took down the Bulldogs by a score of 8-2.
J.R. Avon (three goals and one assist) and Connor Lockhart (four assists) led the way for the Petes on the night. Tucker Robertson added two goals and an assist, Jax Dubois and Sam Mayer each picked up a goal and an assist, and Chase Stillman added two assists. Sahil Panwar and Jax Dubois each had a goal and James Guo, Jack Van Volsen, Konnor Smith, and Nick Lardis all picked up an assist. Michael Simpson stopped 37/39 for his 12th win of the season.
It would be a record breaking night for Petes forward and Seattle Kraken prospect, Tucker Robertson, who's two goals nine seconds apart in the first period set a Petes franchise record for the fastest two goals by one player.

The Petes will wrap up the first half of the season with their annual Christmas game against the Kingston Frontenacs at the PMC on Saturday. The Petes will rock Christmas themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. All proceeds from the auction will be in support of Hockey Ministries International. Make sure to wear your ugly Christmas sweater to be entered into the Ugly Christmas Sweater Competition at the intermission. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05PM. You can get tickets.
