Greenville, SC - Having been a part of the fabric of the Upstate community since 1912, Greenville Hospital System (GHS) will be concluding many of their Centennial Celebration activities and festivities at Fluor Field on August 13th. Not only will the Drive be honoring their great partner throughout the game, but Greenville Hospital System will be providing more than 3,500 tickets to the game for local charities, fans, and employees.

Drive Co-Owner and Team President, Craig Brown, commented on the game, saying, "Greenville Hospital System has been a tremendous partner of the Drive since our Inaugural Season in 2006, and we are thrilled to be a part of their Centennial Celebration on August 13th. Greenville Hospital System is an integral resource for the Upstate Community. Quality, affordable healthcare is a cornerstone which insures the vibrancy and economic growth of every community. We are very fortunate to have an innovative and forward thinking organization such as Greenville Hospital System leading the Upstate in the delivery of health care services as our nation deals with this important issue for our future."

Whether you have one of the Drive's popular Lawn & Ticket tickets, or a ticket provided by Greenville Hospital System for the August 13th game, Fluor Field will open at a special time of 4:30 PM on August 13th, as fans are encouraged to step up on the mound, all for the sake of cancer research. From 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Greenville Hospital System will be taking donations as any fan wants to fire a ceremonial first pitch from the same spot as the Greenville Drive's pitchers.

The August 13th game also signals the conclusion of Greenville Hospital System's 100-day long Go-Hunt-Scan. Since May 5th, 100 locations around the Upstate - including Fluor Field - have posted QR codes as part of a digital scavenger hunt. During the Drive's August 13th game, one lucky participant will win a 2-year lease of a Chevy Sonic, courtesy of Bradshaw Automotive Group. Participants in Greenville Hospital System's Go-Hunt-Scan will have an opportunity to receive a ticket to the game.

"This has been an exciting year - made all the more exciting by fantastic community partners like the Drive," said GHS President and CEO Mike Riordan. "Not only have we partnered with the University of South Carolina to open the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, but the Drive and Craig Brown have continued to be instrumental in helping us raise awareness and scholarships for our GHS Medical Experience Academy, an innovative jobs-development pipeline. The students will benefit in the short term, but, in the long term, the biggest beneficiary will be our Upstate community which benefits from excellent healthcare and additional jobs creation."

The game itself will be a medical field day of in-game entertainment, where healthcare professionals will be out of their comfort zone, participating in activities that the fans will enjoy viewing, including a speeding stretcher race, an oversized nurse uniform race, and even a stitching competition which pits surgeons against each other to see who can sew a Drive patch on a jersey in the shortest period of time.

Greenville Hospital System employees, as well as participants in the "Good Catch" program and students from the all-new University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, will also be recognized throughout the night.

"This is going to be quite the celebration of Greenville Hospital System, and everything they have done for the community," added Brown. "Fluor Field will be the perfect backdrop for fans to gather as we thank Greenville Hospital System for their first 100 years of commitment to the Upstate, and look forward with eager anticipation to the next 100 years and beyond!"
