Suns Stymied by Legends, 3-1

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (66-48/24-21) dropped their third straight game to the Lexington Legends (64-50/25-20), 3-1, at Municipal Stadium on Monday night.

Starter Brian Rauh (1-2) took the loss despite delivering a quality start. He allowed two runs on two hits over six innings of work. J.R. Higley provided the Suns' lone RBI in the game while Billy Burns collected a pair of infield hits.

Legends' starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz (13-3) earned the win, pitching six shutout innings while striking out seven batters. Closer Dayan Diaz (17) earned the save allowing a run in the ninth. Delino DeShields, Jr. led the Legends' attached with an RBI, stolen base and runs scored.

The Suns will enjoy a scheduled off-day before beginning a four-game series with the Charleston RiverDogs (Yankees) on Wednesday evening at 7:05 p.m. in South Carolina. The Suns will have RHP Taylor Hill (9-6, 5.00) on the mound against the RiverDogs RHP Phil Wetherell (5-5, 6.22).
