
Greenville falls to Fayetteville, and out of first place

Greenville, SC â The Greenville Groove fell to the Fayetteville Patriots 99-86 on Tuesday night at the BI-LO Center. Greenville falls to 12-9, while Fayetteville advance to 13-8. With the loss, Greenville also falls out of first place in NBDL standings.
Donald Hand was named the Greenville Groove player-of-the-game, with 14 points and 6 assists. Brandon Kurtz (13 points), Billy Thomas (13 points), Greg Jones (12 points), and Fred Williams (10 points) all contributed double figures for the Groove.
Devin Brown, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds, led Fayetteville. Fayetteville went on a 20-16 run in the fourth quarter to win the match-up.
Fayetteville out rebounded Greenville 44-30. The Patriots also were much better from the line, shooting 73.9 percent to Greenville's 61.9 percent on the night.
