Greensboro Library Summer Reading Program To Kick Off At First Horizon Park

(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Greensboro Regional Realtors Foundation are pleased to announce the Greensboro Library's Summer Reading Program Kickoff, which will take place at First Horizon Park on Tuesday, June 12.

Fans attending the game that bring four new or gently used children's books for donation to the program will receive a Grasshoppers lawn ticket for the 7:00pm game, courtesy of the GRRF. Books will be accepted at the Greensboro Library's Bookmobile, which will be located on Bellemeade Street near the main gate entrance.

The donated books will benefit the Reading Program as well as families in the Greensboro area who may not be able to afford their own.

The kickoff event, sponsored in part by game sponsors Lynn Black with Yost & Little, Katie Redhead with Yost & Little, Barbara Mann with Remax Realty Consultants and Jolaine Lanier with Allen Tate Realty, will continue at the Hoppers 12:30pm day game on June 13 with nearly 200 children from the Greensboro Library in attendance, courtesy of the GRRF and the game sponsors.

Also of note are the GRRA year-long Library Branch Sponsors; Keller Williams of Greensboro, Yost & Little Realty, Brown Investment Properties, Remax of Greensboro, Prudential Carolinas Realty, Allen Tate Company and Remax 1st Choice.

The Grasshoppers were the proud recipients of the 2007 South Atlantic League's Club Merit Award and General Manager of the Year for the second straight season.
