
Legends take series from Dads'

Hickory, NC-The Hickory Crawdads lost to the Lexington Legends, 3-1, Wednesday at L.P. Frans Stadium. With the win, the Legends took 3 out of 4 games in the series.
Lexington took a 1-0 lead with a run in the 2nd inning. The Dads' response came in the 3rd. Kent Sakamoto belted his 3rd HR of the series, and 7th of the season out to left. That solo shot tied the score at 1-1.
Lexington added a run in the 4th on an RBI Sac-Fly by Chris Johnson. The Legends tallied their final run in the 5th on an RBI double by Nick Moresi. That was it for the scoring from both teams, as the Legends prevailed, 3-1.
Despite allowing just 2 ER in 6 IP, Mike Crotta (2-4) suffered the loss. Lexington's Doug Arguello (5-3) gave up the only run in 7 IP to earn the win. Sergio Severino worked a perfect 8th and 9th for his 3rd save.
The Crawdads open up a 4-game series against the Asheville Tourists on Thursday at L.P. Frans Stadium. RHP Dionis Rodriguez makes his first home start of the year. His first pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm.
