(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, closed the 2021-22 home schedule with a 122-117 setback to the Maine Celtics (Boston Celtics affiliate) on Thursday at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Hornets assignee Kai Jones had 23 points and 11 rebounds for his 15th double-double while with the Swarm this season.
Greensboro (9-23) held a 55-51 lead at halftime behind 13 points from Jalen Crutcher. The Swarm (49 percent) outshot the Celtics (40) through the first 24 minutes but the third quarter was the difference in the game.
