
GreenJackets Gear Up For Longest Homestand of Season

Augusta GreenJackets News Release
The Charleston RiverDogs come to Augusta for only the third time this year, though this will be the teams' sixth series against each other. Augusta is 9-12 against Charleston this year. The Asheville Tourists meet the GreenJackets for their third series this year, as they visit Lake Olmstead Stadium for the second time. The two ball clubs are 4-4 overall against each other this season when they match up.
Below is a listing of ballpark activities and promotions for the upcoming homestand:
- Monday August 2nd (7:05 p. m. vs. Charleston) - $1 Hot Dog Mondays at the ballpark - Nothing beats a nice evening game and an inexpensive dinner!
- Tuesday August 3rd (7:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - Kraft Singles presents 2 for Tuesday. Bring a Kraft Singles wrapper to the Box Office and buy one ticket, get one free! It is also our Food and Beverage Night - call Adam at the GreenJackets office for more information.
- Wednesday August 4th (7:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - Bi-Lo Bingo night at Lake Olmstead. Pick up a Bingo card along with your program and play along throughout the game. Winners receive great prizes from Bi-Lo!
- Thursday August 5th (7:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - This Thirsty Thursday game, presented by Somewhere in Augusta and 95 Rock, will play host to International Beer Night. All domestic draft beers will only be a dollar, along with sodas at the concession stand as well. In addition, fans will have the chance to sample beers from around the world. Head on out to the ballpark for a fun night and a chance to try something new!
- Friday August 6th (7:05 p.m. vs. Asheville) - Friday night's game will feature an appearance by a live tiger! The tiger will be caged and will be outside the gates for viewing. We will also give away hats at the gates for the first 1,000 fans in to the ballpark.
- Saturday August 7th (7:05 p.m. vs. Asheville) - Come out to Lake Olmstead to help us celebrate Auggie's birthday! Buzz from Georgia Tech, the Clemson Tiger, and other mascots will be on hand to participate in the fun.
- Sunday August 8th (5:35 p.m. vs. Asheville) - Thanks to the Augusta Chronicle, Kids Eat Free at the ballpark Sunday. Bring the family out to a nice afternoon game!
- Monday August 9th (7:05 p.m. vs. Asheville) - Hot dogs are only a dollar at the ballpark on Mondays! Nothing beats a nice hotdog at a baseball game.
- Tuesday August 10th (7:05 p.m. vs. Asheville) - 2 for Tuesday, presented by Kraft Singles, allows fans to buy one ticket and get one free. All that's needed is a Kraft Singles wrapper when purchasing tickets at the Box Office. Soft drinks and domestic draft beers at the concession stand are also two for one. Come out to the ballpark as the nine-game homestand comes to a close.
