Green Bay Rockers News Release

Mequon, Wis. - After a low-scoring first game of the series, the Bullfrogs (23-27, 6-9 Sec. Half) square off with the Lakeshore Chinooks (35-13, 11-3 Sec. Half) in the final game of a two-game set. Green Bay will have their hands full, as Lakeshore has won nineteen of their last twenty-four games.

Green Bay's last victory came against the Chinooks, however, defeating them at Joannes Stadium on July 13. Since then, the Bullfrogs have averaged three runs a game in two losses at the hands of Madison and their loss last night in Mequon.

The Bullfrogs will try to change the tide with Corey Fischer (Madison College) on the mound. Fischer has started six games season, with a 2-1 record and 3.73 ERA. Although the season has been tumultuous for Fischer, in his two wins this season, he combined for 13.0 innings pitched, five hits allowed, and fourteen strikeouts versus just two walks. One of those starts came against Lakeshore on June 8, when the Bullfrogs won 9-2.

The Chinooks counter with the freshman, Shaun Anderson (Florida). Anderson has started four games with Lakeshore, owning a 2-1 record with a 3.13 ERA. Like Fischer, Anderson has been effective in his wins with a quality start in each of his two victories. He has not faced Green Bay this season.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM at Kapco Park.
