Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach, John Gibson, announced today that goalie Brian Gratz has been released and Adam MacLean has been resigned.
"Goaltenders are no different than players," Gibson said. "I bring players in and out to take a look at them and I did the same thing with Gratz, the only difference is you can use a three-game tryout with players and you can't with goalies. We only get five three-game tryouts and you don't want to use one on a goalie that is possibly only going to play one game. Adam understood the situation and knows it is part of the game. He told me he would be ready to go in his next start."
Gratz played in one game against Macon on Saturday night and gave up four goals in a 4-0 loss.
MacLean had started four games and was 1-3. He has allowed 15 goals and had a 3.85 goal against average and an 88.2 save percentage. One of his three losses was in overtime and one was in a shootout. His one win also came in a shootout.
The Havoc will travel to Winston-Salem and Fayetteville on Thursday and Friday nights and return home on Saturday night at 7:30 to host Knoxville.
