GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, announced today their partnership with Michigan Sports Academies "MSA" Woodland. MSA Woodland will now be the official practice facility for the Grand Rapids Gold.
In addition to an official court onsite for the Grand Rapids Gold, which will prominently feature Gold branding, the partnership includes access to additional facilities as well as training and equipment necessities.
Located at 2100 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MSA Woodland is 101,300 total square feet with 79,300 square feet of training space including four full-size hardwood basketball courts and a number of other flexible spaces to serve any training and competition needs.
"We are thrilled to partner with the Grand Rapids Gold here in our own backyard," said Sam Nichols, executive director for Michigan Sports Academies. "We are excited to create more positive touchpoints and uncover opportunities for our communities to thrive through partnerships like this that highlight access to organized sports. The Gold organization has done a tremendous job of representing our city, and we look forward to assisting with their goals of elite basketball performance while investing and contributing to the West Michigan community."
MSA was launched in July 2007 with the mission of providing fundamental skill development and competitive opportunities for adults and youth sports in West Michigan. The organization is a recreational leader in the area, offering programming for all levels in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. In addition to team sports, MSA holds over 4,000 camp and clinic athletes a year - providing great levels of visibility for the new partnership with the Gold.
