GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, announced today that the team has acquired Zak Irvin from the available player pool.

Irvin played for the University of Michigan Men's basketball team from 2013-2017. He was the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week twice. His team won the 2013-14 Big Ten Conference regular-season championship. He led the Big Ten in minutes played as a senior and tied the Michigan record for career games played (142).

Following Irvin's time at Michigan, Irvin went undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft and later signed to play with the Miami Heat for the 2017 NBA Summer League. Irvin was then acquired by the Westchester Knicks in 2018 and debuted with a double-double for the team.

After spending some time playing overseas, he joined the Maine Celtics training camp roster for the 2022-23 season and was later cut prior to opening night.

Irvin will be eligible to play in Sunday's game as the Gold take on Raptors 905 at 3pm at Van Andel Arena.
