Gotovets Recalled by IceHogs

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Thursday that rookie defenseman Kirill Gotovets was recalled by Rockford for the first time this season. A seventh-round selection (183rd overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2009 NHL Draft, Gotovets, 23, has six goals, 11 points and 33 penalty minutes to his credit in 38 appearances for the Fuel this season.

A 5'11", 194 lb. left-handed shooting native of Minsk, Belarus, Gotovets appeared in one AHL game for the Milwaukee Admirals at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season. Prior to his professional career, Gotovets spent four seasons in the NCAA ranks with Cornell University from 2010 to 2014, logging three goals, 19 points and 76 penalty minutes in 112 career collegiate appearances for the Big Red.
