Stockton Thunder News Release
Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder drop the first game of a seven-game home stand Wednesday night by a score of 7-4 to the Bakersfield Condors, despite the Thunder hitting on three of their four power-play opportunities. Vinny Scarsella and Garet Hunt provided early momentum-shifting goals in the first, while James Henry and J.T. Barnett provided the spark in the third. However, it was not enough as the Thunder could not complete the comeback in the third. The Thunder will have a day to rest before hitting the ice once again Friday night, this time against the Colorado Eagles in the first game of a weekend three-in-three at Stockton Arena.

Quotes
"The power play was good tonight. We shot the puck well from the point and it worked the way we set it up to work. Tonight we executed it the way it's supposed to work. When we are able to get the shot from the top, it's effective." - Head Coach Rich Kromm on the power play going three out of four tonight.
"It helps. I mean obviously when a goalie is struggling, whether it's on him or not, it's nice to have that support to lean on. [Cody] Reichard has seen a lot of work lately so it will be nice to get him a break here soon." - Coach Kromm referencing to the fact that Kent Simpson will be available for the weekend series with Colorado
"We're chasing. The other night we're down seven before we started to score goals. These are heavy uphill climbs that we're getting ourselves into. We have to figure out a way to be better defensively so we're not trying to make that climb every game. On most nights, four goals should win you the game." - Coach Kromm on improving the defensive side of the puck.
