MacLellan Returns to Stockton

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, owned by the Calgary Flames and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islander's and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have received Jack MacLellan back after being released from his pro tryout contract with Bridgeport.

MacLellan, 26, played in the Sound Tigers three-in-three last weekend, going pointless but registering two shots in an away game at Syracuse and two home contests against Hartford and Wilkes-Barre Scranton. For MacLellan, this was his first time in the AHL since the 2012-13 season when he played 35 games for the Milwaukee Admirals.

In addition to his on-ice performances for the Sound Tigers, MacLellan also put his Brown University education to the test when he spent time at a local school to read to children.

MacLellan is in his first year with the Thunder and is tied with Tyler Shattock and James Henry for the team lead in points with 35 however the centerman from Calgary, Alberta has played in five fewer games than Shattock and 11 fewer than Henry.
