Amarillo, TX 12/17/07 - The Amarillo Gorillas season-high four game win streak was snapped on Friday night at the hands of the Odessa Jackalopes. The Gorillas fell by a final score of 1-0.
The lone goal in the game came at 18:57 of period one, as Mike Rutter scored on the power-play with help from Mario Joly. It was all the offense the Jacks would need, as goaltender Alexandre Vincent made 35 saves en route to his second straight shutout and third of the year.
Amarillo goaltender Dan McWhinney made 35 saves on the 36 shots he faced, turning in his best performance of the year, as his one goal against is the fewest Amarillo has given up all season long.
Amarillo will hit the road for a game on Saturday night in Corpus Christi at the American Bank Center, set to start at 7:05 PM
