Amarillo Gorillas News Release


Amarillo, TX 2/19/08 - The Amarillo Gorillas will be out in the community this week, with player appearances scheduled for this week and next. The Gorillas will have six players at Leal's restaurant tonight (Tuesday the 19th) from 6-7:30 waiting tables, and 20% of all profits plus all tips will be donated to Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Center of Amarillo. Gorillas fans can be waited on by Bill Vandermeer, Dan McWhinney, Jason Chafe, Marcus Reszka, Trevor Read and Dan Bauer, all the while helping a good cause.

The Gorillas will also be helping out the High Plains Food Bank this afternoon from 2-3 as David Nimmo and Shaun Arvai will be sorting cans in the warehouse. Gorillas fans who want to help out are welcome to drop by and provide some much needed help.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday the 20th), Gorillas fans can come to Basildoc's Pizzeria from 6-7 to eat and chat with Brock Becker and Brett McConnachie.

Next Tuesday, February 26th, the Gorillas will have players at Fazoli's Restaurant on Soncy, and kids are invited to come out and take part in a coloring party with Chris Lipsett, Nate Fornataro and Marcus Reszka. The players will be on hand to sign autographs and meet fans from 6:30-7:30 at Fazoli's, located at 2512 S. Soncy Road.
