
Coyotes Assign Latendresse to Montreal in Exchange for Cory Urquhart

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League today announced that NHL parent club the Phoenix Coyotes has reassigned forward Olivier Latendresse to the Montreal Canadiens (NHL) in exchange for forward Cory Urquhart.
Latendresse will be reassigned to the affiliate of Montreal's choice and Urquhart will be sent to the Coyotes' double-A affiliate, the Arizona Sundogs.
Urquhart, 23, was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (40th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound center has split time this season with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League and the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In 21 games this season with Hamilton, Urquhart tallied five goals, four assists and 14 penalty minutes. In 21 games with Cincinnati, the Halifax, Nova Scotia, native has gathered 14 goals, nine assists and 22 penalty minutes. He also helped Hamilton to the Calder Cup Championship in 2006-07. In 18 playoff appearances, he collected two goals and two assists en route to the AHL title.
In 37 games with Arizona this season, Latendresse tallied 22 goals, 30 assists and 30 penalty minutes. The LaSalle, Quebec, native also appeared in seven games with the Coyotes' triple-A affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, collecting one goal, two assists and 25 penalty minutes.
Urquhart will join the Sundogs in Prescott Valley this afternoon in time for their three-game set against divisional foe, the New Mexico Scorpions. The first of three games is set for Wednesday at 7:05pm.
