AMARILLO, Texas --- The Amarillo Gorillas scored twice in the final two minutes of the second period and held on in the third to take a 5-4 victory over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Friday night at Cal Farley Coliseum.

Austin Sutter got credit for the game-winner at the 18:13 mark of the second period, sliding the puck past RGV goalie Chris Boucher.

The Gorillas took a 3-1 lead into the second period, but the Bees battled back with three power play goals to knot things at 3.

Brian Bicek notched his 10th goal of the season to get RGV on the board in the first, then Daryl Moore and Jesse Bennefield responded to even the score.

Jamie McKinven gave Amarillo a 4-3 lead with two minutes left in the middle stanza and Sutter tapped home the eventual winner just 13 seconds later.

Rio's Aaron Lee scored at 13:52 of the third to bring the Bees within a goal, beating Amarillo netminder Mike Gorman low glove side for his sixth of the season.

Gorman made 25 saves in the win while Boucher turned aside 38.
