Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Odessa, TX 12/27/07 - The Amarillo Gorillas suffered a 5-1 setback at the hands of the Odessa Jackalopes on Thursday night, losing their 15th game of the year. Amarillo was unable to overcome the persistent offensive attack of the Jackalopes, and stellar play in net by goalie Alexandre Vincent.
The Jackalopes net-minder came just :36 away from posting his third consecutive shutout, before David Nimmo scored his 16th goal of the season for the Gorillas lone tally of the evening. Vincent would have tied a team record for consecutive shutouts were he to hold on.
Amarillo falls to 7-15-4 on the year, and will hit the road for a pair of games in New Mexico on Friday and Saturday night, before heading home to host Odessa again on New Year's Eve - Monday December 31st.
