
Bucks Bes, Dube, Traylen Voted To Start In All-Star Game

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will be well represented at the 2008 CHL All-Star Game, as forward Jeff Bes, defenseman Serge Dube, and goaltender Dustin Traylen have been voted as Southern Conference Starters. The 2008 CHL All-Star Game will take place on January 16th at the Broomfield Events Center, home of the Rocky Mountain Rage.
The starting line-ups for both the Southern and Northern Conference all-star teams were voted on by the CHL coaches, CHL broadcasters, and other selected media members in each market.
Joining the Bucks trio of Bes, Dube, and Traylen in the starting line-up will be forwards Tyler Redenbach (Arizona), and Dominic Leveille (Odessa), and defenseman Sean Sullivan (Arizona).
This will be the third CHL All-Star game for Bes, who was named all-star game MVP in 2005-2006, scoring four goals and handing out one assist. Bes also played in the 2003-04 CHL All-Star Game.
This season Bes is tied for fourth in the CHL in scoring. He has played in all 29 games, scoring 16 goals, with 24 assists, for 40 points. Bes was named CHL player of the week on October 29th.
This will also be Dube's third CHL All-Star game, as he participated in the 2003-04, and 2005-06 season's.
This season Dube is among the league leaders in defensemen scoring, netting six goals while handing out 20 assists, for 26 points. Dube, who is tied for third in the CHL in defenseman scoring, has netted three game-winning goals for the Bucks this season.
Traylen will be playing in his first CHL all-star game this season.
This season Traylen has a 12-6-1 record, with a 2.20 goals against average, and a .920 save percentage to go along with three shutouts.
Traylen has been honored twice this season, winning CHL goalie of the month for October, while earning CHL goalie of the week on October 29th.
The Southern Conference all-star reserves will be announced Saturday.
The Bucks flew to Arizona early Thursday morning and will play on Friday and Saturday against the Sundogs. The Bucks will then fly back to Laredo on Sunday to prepare for their New Year's Eve game against division rival Rio Grande Valley.
