WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes (36-27) beat the Texas AirHogs 10-4 at Shaw Park on Friday night.

The Goldeyes completed their first series sweep of the season while also posting their first five-game winning streak.

Winnipeg scored three runs in the bottom of the first and led throughout the rest of the night. Tyler Hill drew a leadoff walk and went to third two batters later when James Harris singled down the right field line. Kyle Martin lined a single to centre that scored Hill with the game's first run. After Harris and Martin executed a double steal, Dominic Ficociello hit a two-out bloop single to right that made it 3-0.

Javion Randle led off the top of the second with a home run down the right field line.

The Goldeyes answered in the bottom half when Alex Perez drew a nine-pitch leadoff walk, took third on a single through the right side from Kevin Garcia, and scored on a Hill fielder's choice.

Perez drew another leadoff walk in the fourth, stole second, advanced to third on a flyout to centre from Kevin Garcia, and scored the Goldeyes' fifth run when Hill hit a sacrifice fly to centre.

Li Ning hit a two-out, RBI double in the top of the fifth, and the AirHogs pulled within 5-3 in the sixth on an RBI single from Matt Dean.

Texas (15-47) brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the top of the seventh before Justin Kamplain relieved Goldeyes' starter Parker French and induced an inning-ending double play ball from Ning.

Winnipeg then broke the game open with five runs in the bottom of the seventh. Hill tripled to left-centre leading off and scored on a wild pitch. Carlos Garcia walked, stole second, took third on a lineout to centre from Harris, and came home when a walk to Martin resulted in another wild pitch. Willy Garcia doubled to centre to drive in Martin from first. After Pete Perez relieved AirHogs' starter Erik Manoah Jr., Garcia came home when Reggie Abercrombie reached on a throwing error from shortstop Yang Jin. Perez capped the rally with a two-out, RBI single to left that scored Abercrombie.

Dean accounted for the final run of the night with a two-out, RBI single in the top of the eighth.

Mitchell Aker worked a scoreless ninth to close out the win.
