Goldeyes Swing Deal with Ottawa

Manager Rick Forney announced today the Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired infielder Kyle Brandenburg from the Ottawa Champions of the Can-Am League in exchange for future considerations.

Brandenburg, 24, is a rookie-status player. He hit .146 with an RBI in 16 games with Ottawa this season and .242 with two RBI in 24 games with the Laredo Lemurs last season.

To make the room the roster, the Goldeyes have released left-handed pitcher James Woods.

The Goldeyes have 22 players on their roster, including 11 pitchers and 11 position players.

The Goldeyes begin a three-game homestand tonight against the St. Paul Saints. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
