
Goldeyes Sign Sintes, Release Barnard

Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that the baseball club has signed right-handed pitcher Jon Sintes and released right-handed pitcher Chandler Barnard.
Sintes, 28, competed this season in the North Mexico League with the Rosarita Langosteros (statistics unavailable). In 2013, the product of Fort Walton Beach, Florida went 6-7 with a 3.71 ERA in 14 starts with Santa Fe of the Pecos League.
Barnard went 4-2 with a 4.28 ERA in seven starts and one relief appearance in two stints with the Goldeyes this season.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, evenly split between pitchers and position players.
Sintes will get the start tonight for the Goldeyes, as Winnipeg begins a four-game series on the road against the Sioux City Explorers. The pre-game show on Jewel 101 (100.7 FM) with Steve Schuster begins at 5:30 p.m. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
