Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that infielder Price Kendall has been placed on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release. He is expected to pursue baseball opportunities near his home in California.

Kendall, 27, played three seasons for the Goldeyes from 2010-2012 and was named the American Association's Rookie of the Year in 2011. He leaves Winnipeg with a .303 career batting average and .377 on-base percentage. He was also the only member of the Goldeyes to play in all 100 games in each of the last two seasons.

"Price was professional in every sense of the word for his three years with the Goldeyes," Forney said. "He worked his way on the roster in 2010 after being a non-roster invitee to training camp and he been a big part of our team for the last three seasons. We wish him all the best in the future."

The Goldeyes have 26 players signed for the 2013 season, including 14 pitchers and 12 position players. American Association teams are slated to opening training camp on May 4 and can have up to 28 players on their training camp roster.

Season tickets and nine-game mini packs for the 2013 season are available by calling the Goldeyes office at 204-982-2273.
