Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

FARGO, ND - Tuesday night's game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes (34-28) and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (31-32) has been suspended due to rain.

The RedHawks lead the Goldeyes 5-1 after three complete innings. The game will resume in the top fourth on Wednesday at 5 p.m., and David Rohm will lead off for Winnipeg. The teams will finish the nine-inning contest and play the regularly scheduled series finale in seven innings.

After Fargo-Moorhead opened the scoring with a one-out run in the second, Maikol Gonzalez scored an unearned run on a Josh Mazzola error to tie the game at 1 in the top third.

But the RedHawks' bats came out swinging in the bottom half of the inning. Fargo-Moorhead put up four runs on four hits to take a 5-1 lead.

Winnipeg starter Duke von Schamann gave up all five runs on eight hits and struck out two through the three innings. Fargo-Moorhead right-hander Jose Almarante allowed one run and one hit and struck out five Goldeyes.

Tickets for all Goldeyes home games are available at the Shaw Park box office or by calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting ticketmaster.ca . All Goldeyes games are broadcast live on 93.7 CJNU and at cjnu.ca .
