LAKEWOOD, N.J. - New Jersey Gold Buyers and the Lakewood BlueClaws are teaming up to host a gold party at the May 5th BlueClaws game. Fans can bring their unwanted gold to the ballpark and receive cash on the spot from an NJ Gold Buyers representative.

With each gold purchase from NJ Gold Buyers, they will make a donation, on top of the amount given to each fan, to BlueClaws Charities, the official charity of the Lakewood BlueClaws.

"These parties are really taking off in popularity," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "We're thrilled to partner with NJ Gold Buyers in hosting this event, and the fact there's a charitable element makes it even better."

The game starts at 6:35 pm and also features a Haskell Prize Package giveaway, courtesy of Monmouth Park, with an appearance from jockey Joe Bravo, a 13-time Monmouth riding champion. Further, since the game falls on a Senior Day Tuesday, all seniors will eat for free, courtesy of TD Bank, and Baseball Bingo will be played throughout the night.

The Lakewood BlueClaws welcomed 425,166 fans to FirstEnergy Park during the 2008 season which upped their eight-season total to 3,595,378. They have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons.

The team recently announced that all children, 12 and under, will eat for free at every BlueClaws home game, thanks to NJ 101.5 and ShopRite.
