Florence, Ky. - Andrew Godbold has been named a Frontier League Postseason All-Star.

The Freedom outfielder adds another honor after earning a Frontier League Midseason All-Star nod and winning the 2016 Frontier League Home Run Derby. He also took home Frontier League Player of the Week honors on August 1.

This season, Godbold has played 86 games for the Freedom, mainly starting with left field and right field. He ranks inside the top 15 in the Frontier League in RBIs (58), doubles (21), home runs (13), runs scored (57), and slugging percentage (.502).

In the Frontier League All-Star Game, Godbold went 2-for-3 as a reserve outfielder with a double, a run scored, and an RBI. He won a hotly contested Home Run Derby over Southern Illinois' Steve Marino and Joliet's Marc Flores.

Godbold also helped spark one of the Freedom's best offensive weeks earlier this summer. From June 22-26, he posted a .500 batting average (12-for-24) with six doubles, three home runs, nine runs scored, and 12 RBIs. He led Florence to a 4-2 home stand, which started the Freedom's upward trajectory this season. Since June 22, the Freedom are 35-24, which is the second best record in the Frontier League during that span.

The West Division swept the position player honors, making Godbold one of the nine West Division position players selected to the team. Both the team's starting pitcher (Trevor Foss, Washington) and the league's Pitcher of the Year (Liam O'Sullivan, Joliet) came from the East Division.
