Savannah, GA - With one out in the bottom of the ninth, 1B Jon Leroux blasted a game-winning solo homer to give the Gnats a 2-1 win over the Charleston RiverDogs. The Gnats have now won three games in a row and nine of their last 12 games.
Leroux's homerun was his second of the 2015 season and his sixth in a Gnats' uniform dating back to 2014.
In his first outing with Savannah (22-25), right-hander Casey Delgado, earned the win for his four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. The Mets signed Delgado away from the independent Traverse City Beach Bums in the independent Frontier league earlier this week.
The RiverDogs (23-24) have now lost four games in a row and 13 of their last 17.

Knapp dueled with R'Dogs starter RHP Joey Maher who tossed seven full allowing just one unearned run and struck out four.
The Sand Gnats and RiverDogs will continue their four-game series Friday at Historic Grayson Stadium. The Gnats will start RHP Martires Arias (2-3, 3.51), while the RiverDogs will send LHP Jordan Montgomery (4-2, 2.27) to the hill. It will be another St. Joseph's/Candler Facebook Flashback Friday.
