
Gnats 2011 Playoff Tickets Go on Sale July 4th

Savannah, GA - Savannah Sand Gnats 2011 playoff tickets will go on sale, Monday, July 4th at 9 am. The first half champion Gnats will host their first 2011 playoff game on Friday, September 9 with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
"We are excited to head back to the playoffs for the second-consecutive season," said Gnats team president John Katz. "It's amazing that this franchise went through a 14-year playoff drought, but we're ready to fight for Savannah's first South Atlantic League Championship since 1996."
Fans can purchase Sand Gnats playoff tickets online at sandgnats.com, over the phone at (912) 351-9150 or in person at the Sand Gnats' front office at Historic Grayson Stadium located at 1401 E. Victory Drive.
The Gnats may host up to five playoff games in 2011. The Southern Division Championship Series will begin on Wednesday, September 7 at the home of the second half champion or wild card winner. The series will return to Savannah on Friday, September 9 at 7:05 pm for game two, and, if necessary, game three on Saturday, September 10 at 6:05 pm. Should the Gnats win the Southern Division Championship series, they would take on the Northern Division Champion in the best-of-five South Atlantic League Championship Series which will begin at the home of the Northern Division Champions on September 12. After games one and two at the home of the Northern Division Champion, the series will return to the home of the Southern Division Champion on September 15 for game three, and if necessary games four and five on September 16 and 17.
Ticket prices will remain unchanged for the Playoffs, with Box Seats priced at $10, Reserved Seats at $8 and General Admission at $7 for adults and $5 for youth, seniors and Military personnel and their families (with ID). Sand Gnats Season Seat holders will have a right of first refusal for their seats for the playoffs which will be held until Thursday, August 4th.
