Team Canada has advanced to Saturday's gold medal game at the 2008 World Junior Hockey Championships in the Czech Republic with a 4-1 victory over the USA on Friday afternoon, guaranteeing themselves at least a silver medal in the tournament.
Saskatoon Blades forward Colton Gillies scored his first goal of the tournament, netting Canada's 3rd goal on a wrist shot from the top of the circle on a 3 on 2 with line-mates Stefan Legein and Brandon Sutter.
Saturday's gold medal game is set for 1:00pm local time (2:00pm EST) and will once again be televised by TSN. A victory by Canada would result in their 4th straight gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship tournament.
