
Giants Topple T-Birds

KENT - The Vancouver Giants defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 6-2 Saturday night at accesso ShoWare Center.
The T-Birds next game is Tuesday against the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:05pm at accesso ShoWare Center. Single game tickets are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
Vancouver took a 1-0 lead on a power-play goal by Milos Roman.
Seattle tied the game 1-1 at 9:31 of the first on Mekai Sanders second goal of the season. Cade McNelly shot the puck from the low left wall and Mekai Sanders tipped the puck over Vancouver goalie David Tendeck. Brendan Wiliamson had the second assist.
Vancouver made it a 3-1 lead with a shorthanded goal by Tristen Nielsen at 17:38 and a goal by Bowen Byram at 19:09 of the first.
The Giants took a 4-1 lead on a goal by Milos Roman at 4:37 of the second period.
Matthew Rempe cut the Giants lead to 4-2 at 11:56 on the power play. Rempe was at the left post and banged away at the puck to get a greasy goal. It was Rempe's tenth of the season and second consecutive game with a goal.
Roman scored at 1:01 and Trevor Longo scored at 15:21 for the Giants.
The T-Birds are now taking orders for Flex-24 Ticket packages. Fans that purchase the 24-Flex Ticket Package will be able to select any available premium seat for any game, in any ticket combination, during the 2019-20 season.
