Giants Recall Goaltender Trent Miner for Remainder of the Season

Vancouver, B.C. - In a subsequent transaction Wednesday, the Vancouver Giants have recalled 2001-born goaltender Trent Miner (Souris, MB) for the remainder of the season.

Miner (6'0", 172 pounds) was selected by the Giants in the first-round (20th overall) in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft. In 30 appearances with the Brandon Wheat Kings Midget AAA team, he's gone 17-3-0-0 with a .941 save percentage, a 1.64 goals-against-average and two shutouts.

Giants General Manager Glen Hanlon comments, "We're very excited to welcome Trent back to Vancouver. He's very excited to begin his WHL career."
