The Vancouver Giants have traded 18-year-old forward KEVIN HAYMAN to the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a conditional 7th round pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft Pick.

Hayman is into his third season in the WHL. Originally a seventh round bantam draft pick of the Giants in 2001, Hayman has played more than 100 games in the Western Hockey League. The 5'8", 180lbs. centre from Beaumont, Alberta will be in the Blazers line-up Friday.

"Kevin is a great kid and has been a character guy for our team the past few seasons," says Giants General Manager Scott Bonner. "With the make-up of our team right now, we didn't feel Kevin would get as much opportunity to play as he would somewhere else."

"I know the Blazers are happy to have Kevin in their plans for the rest of the season," adds Bonner. "We certainly wish him all the best in Kamloops and thank him for his contribution to our club."

The Giants now have 24 players on their active roster (2 goalies, 8 defencemen, 14 forwards). The Giants will be back in action Friday November 26 to play host to the Regina Pats. Face off is 7:30pm at the Pacific Coliseum (MOJO AM 730).
