ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the ninth week of the 2004-2005 regular season with a 16-7-2-0 record (10-2-2-0 at home, 6-5-0-0 on the road, 2-0-2-0 in overtime) and in first place in the BC DIVISION and tied for second place in the WHL with the MEDICINE HAT TIGERS...KOOTENAY has recorded seven consecutive wins (November 3 to November 20) tying the franchise record from March 3 – 12 during the 2001-2002 season...The ICE are ranked seventh in the CHL MOSIAK MASTERCARD WEEKLY TOP TEN RANKINGS...KOOTENAY will play their next two games at home before playing five straight road games.

GREYHOUND COURIER EXPRESS NIGHT: When KOOTENAY hosts RED DEER on Friday, November 26, one lucky fan in attendance will have the opportunity to win up to $1000 cash compliments of GREYHOUND COURIER EXPRESS.

EAST KOOTENAY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION PUCK TOSS: When the ICE host the KELOWNA ROCKETS on Saturday, November 27, the EAST KOOTENAY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION will be hosting their PUCK TOSS NIGHT...Proceeds from this event will benefit KIDSPORT.

A & W TEDDY BEAR TOSS: When the ICE host the SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS on Saturday, December 11, it will be the annual A & W Teddy Bear Toss...Fans are invited to bring stuffed toys or animals to the game and toss them onto the ice surface when KOOTENAY scores their first goal of the game...Toys are distributed to the hospital, Salvation Army, Victim Services and the Angel Tree.

DID YOU KNOW: RYAN RUSSELL was named the GREYHOUND WHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK and the CHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK for the week of November 15-21 after recorded four goals (including three power play goals and a game winning goal) and one assist in two games last weekend...RUSSELL recorded his first career WHL Hat Trick November 20 versus REGINA...NIGEL DAWES and JEFF GLASS will participate in the ADT CANADA-RUSSIA CHALLENGE which will be held December 1 in RED DEER...ADAM TAYLOR has 97 career assists with the KOOTENAY franchise and needs six more to move into fifth place in all-time assists (JASON JAFFRAY is fifth with 102 career assists)...DALE MAHOVKSY recorded his 125th career WHL point November 19 versus CALGARY...ADAM CRACKNELL needs seven points to reach 100 in his WHL career... The ICE are 7-0-0-0 in games played in November (6-7-1-0 in October, 3-0-1-0 in September).

SCORING STREAKS: RYAN RUSSELL (6-2-8 in span) and ADAM TAYLOR (3-5-8 in span) have both recorded at least one point in each of their last five games...ROMAN POLAK (1-3-4 in span) has recorded at least one point in each of his last four games...CASEY LEE (1-4-5 in span) and DALE MAHOVSKY (1-3-4 in span) have both recorded at least one point in each of their last three games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 25 games of the 2003-2004 season the ICE were 11-10-1-3, after 26 games 12-10-1-3 and after 27 games 12-11-1-3.
