Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants announced today the acquisition of 2005-born forward London Hoilett (Winnipeg, MB) from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2025.
"We're excited to add London to our lineup," Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta said. "We look forward to seeing him in action this weekend."
Hoilett scored 12 goals and added five assists for 17 points in 61 games last season as a 17-year-old. In 87 career games, the 6-foot, 182 lb. forward has 20 points (14G-6A). Hoilett has the unique distinction of scoring the Teddy Bear toss goal for Calgary in back-to-back seasons.
Prior to his time with the Hitmen, Hoilett played for the RINK Hockey Academy in Winnipeg for three years. The right-shot forward is expected to make his Giants debut this weekend.
