Lethbridge, AB - Vancouver Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta announced today that the Giants have acquired 1998-born defenceman Dallas Hines (Marwayne, AB) in exchange for 2000-born forward Cyle McNabb (Winnipeg, MB).

Dallas Hines checks in at 6'3" and 196 pounds and has played all 221 of his career WHL games with the Kootenay Ice. This season Hines has scored four goals along with 12 assists for 16 points through 36 games. In 221 career games with the Ice, Hines has registered 16 goals and 52 assists along with 115 penalty minutes. He was drafted by the Ice in the fifth round (97th overall) in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. He served as an alternate captain with the Ice this season.

Cyle McNabb signed with the Giants in March, 2017. The Winnipeg, MB product posted a goal and two assists in 34 games with the Giants this season. In 95 career WHL games, McNabb has scored two goals and nine assists for 11 points. He dressed in six of the Giants seven playoff games in 2017-18.

With the acquisition of Dallas Hines, the Giants roster now sits at 25 players: 14 forwards, nine defencemen and two goaltenders.

The Vancouver Giants return to action tonight when they face the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 6 PM PT.
