
T-Birds Acquire Henry Rybinski From Tigers

KENT - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Bil La Forge today announced the team has acquired left wing Henry Rybinski from the Medicine Hat Tigers for the rights to defenseman Aidan Brook, a second round pick in the 2019 Bantam Draft, and a third round pick in the 2020 Bantam Draft.
"We feel we acquired a top end 17-year old that will help our group for this year and years to come," said La Forge. "Henry will join the team on our East Division road trip."
Rybinski, a 2001 born player, has appeared in 14 games with the Tigers this season and has one goal and four assists for five points. Last season with the Tigers he had three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 63 games. Rybinski was selected by the Tigers in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2016 Bantam Draft.
Brook, from Roblin, Manitoba, was selected by the T-Birds in the fourth round, 76th overall, in the 2018 Bantam Draft. This season Brook is playing for the Rink Hockey Academy Elite 15 team in the CSSHL. He has played 25 games and has one goal and 19 assists for 20 points with 30 penalty minutes.
Seattle has three second round picks in the 2019 Bantam Draft, their own, Regina's from the Aaron Hyman trade on January 10, 2018, and Everett's from the Zack Andrusiak trade on January 1, 2019. The T-Birds will send the Tigers the best of the three second round picks.
The T-Birds start a six-game road trip to the East Division tonight against the Brandon Wheat Kings at 5:30pm. They will play the Regina Pats on Sunday, January 6, at 2pm in the second game of the road trip. The road trip continues against the Saskatoon Blades on Tuesday, January 8, and the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday, January 9. The last two games on the road trip are Friday, January 11, against the Moose Jaw Warriors and Saturday, January 12 against the Swift Current Broncos.
The T-Birds next home game is Saturday, January 19, against the Victoria Royals at 6:05pm at accesso ShoWare Center. Single game tickets are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
The T-Birds are now taking orders for Flex-24 Ticket packages. Fans that purchase the 24-Flex Ticket Package will be able to select any available premium seat for any game, in any ticket combination, during the 2018-19 season.
