Get Back To The 70's Tomorrow Night With The Kernels
April 15, 2008 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
Wednesday is forecast to be the first day since October 21, 2007, where the daily high has been above 70 degrees.
To honor that feat, the Cedar Rapids Kernels will throw out 70 first pitches before the Kernels take on Great Lakes at 6:30 pm tomorrow night.
Fans can find Mr. Shucks and members of the Kernels Pep Crew and get a first pitch baseball after the gates open at 5:30 pm. Then, they will head down onto the field and throw their first pitch to a Kernels player.
It's also a Z 102.9 Wii Wednesday, where fans can register at the Z van to play Wii games on the concourse prior to the game. Regular hot dogs will be $1 and the first 250 fans through the gates receive a free sample bag of Popcorn Indiana Movie Theater Butter popcorn.
Make sure you're here tomorrow night and celebrate a return to the 70's (temperature, that is) at Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Tickets are available on-line at www.kernels.com, or by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560 from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
