Oshawa Generals News Release
The Oshawa Generals will have their hands full tonight as they play host to the OHL-leading Mississauga Steelheads for the first time this season. The only other meeting between these two clubs took place in Mississauga on December 5th, with the Steelheads coming away with a 3-2 victory.
Both teams are coming off victories Saturday, as Oshawa defeated Peterborough and Mississauga took care of business against Barrie. The Generals are winners of six of their last seven as they look to catch up to the Steelheads in the standings.
The Steelheads have also been on a role as late, as they have earned at least one point in each of their last eight games and will be looking to make it nine tonight.
Newly acquired winger Oskar Olausson made a solid first impression last night on the top line alongside Stuart Rolofs and Ty Tullio with his first goal as a General.
With Patrick Leaver in the net last night, its expected Zachary Paputsakis will get the start in this game. He currently has a .912 save percentage and a 2.98 goals-against average.
All the action between these two teams gets underway tonight, with puck drop scheduled for 6:05 pm.
