Flint Generals News Release
FLINT, MI - In preparation for the 2004-2005 season, the Flint Generals are bringing in a combination of speedy, quick offensive firepower with the combination of tough, physical enforcers. The Generals may by starting the season with one of the toughest teams in franchise history with the addition of former Elmira Jackals left winger, and tough customer Neil Posillico, whom has signed with the Generals effective immediately. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement shall not be disclosed.
Posillico, 22, heads to Flint after spending last season with Elmira and the East Coast League's Roanoke Express and Frenso Falcons appearing in 48 games with 244 penalty minutes.
"We thought we had a tough team as it was, heading into camp," said Vice President & Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "However, the signing of Neil Posillico brings an additional dimension of toughness that character teams are made of. The combination of Posillico, with Kris Waltze, Paul McBrien and Mike Wolf makes us a solid, tough hockey team. We need to be tough, physical, strong, quick and able to score. The players that we have coming in to camp will allow me to put together a team that possesses all qualities needed for a championship run. Neil Posillico is an important piece to our puzzle and we are happy to get this deal done."
