\'Dogs closing in on 5,000 opening weekend tickets

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs are closing in on 5,000 tickets sold for their Opening Weekend games Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 vs. Port Huron. ‘Dogs RW Trevor Senn has been living in the RiverDogs DogHouse at the John Rolfe Ukrop's since Monday waiting for the ‘Dogs to hit the 5,000 ticket mark for their first two home games.

The ‘Dogs anticipate selling the 5,000th ticket sometime tomorrow (Friday) morning. Senn will be officially released from the DogHouse tomorrow at 3 PM. Fans and media are invited to be on hand when Trevor gets out of the DogHouse. The fan who purchases the 5,000th ticket will also be on hand.

The ‘Dogs would like to thank HCA Hospitals for their purchase of 1,500 tickets for Opening Night and helping push the ‘Dogs to their goal. The RiverDogs would also like to thank Ukrop's, Coca-Cola, the Richmond SPCA, and American Family Fitness for their help

· The ‘Dogs now have 17 players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Ryan McIntosh, Sean Keene, Ryan Prentice, and David Hymovitz.

· Season seats are on sale now for $545 in the Center section ($470 for minors and seniors), and $400 ($320 for minors and seniors) in End sections. To purchase your season seats please call 225-PUCK (7825).

· The ‘Dogs open their second season Friday, October 15 vs. Port Huron at 7:35 in the Richmond Coliseum.

· The ‘Dogs face the Missouri River Otters in a UHL preseason game Saturday, October 9 at 7:35 PM at the Roanoke Civic Center. For ticket information for that game please call the Roanoke Civic Center at (540) 853-6583.
