LAST GAME: The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, suffered defeat on Saturday at Smokies Stadium, slow-cooked 6-3 by the Tennessee Smokies. A trio of Jackson homers were not enough to spare the Generals (14-14) from falling back behind Tennessee (15-13) in the SL North standings.

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: Tennessee's Oscar De La Cruz finished his 80-game suspension for a P.E.D. masking agent on Friday and has been reinstated to Double-A. De La Cruz, who was allowed to pitch at lower levels as part of his return from suspension, went 1-0 with a 1.20 ERA in three starts at High-A Myrtle Beach over the last three weeks. The Generals' projected starter for today is right-hander Kevin McCanna, who would be making his Double-A debut upon being officially added to the roster. McCanna was a teammate of former General Jon Duplantier at Rice University, and he earned Midseason All-Star honors last year at Visalia before being placed on the IL.

JAZZ HAS JACKS: On May 4, Jazz Chisholm homered twice at Tennessee, recording his second multi-homer game of the 2019 season. The 21-year-old shortstop leads the Southern League entering Sunday with eight homers this year, and he's the only player in the league with multiple multi-homer games this season. Chisholm went yard twice in a game on two occasions last year in the Midwest League. His 17 runs, 11 extra-base hits and .494 slugging percentage are also top-10 Southern League marks entering Sunday.
