
Gems Donating Christmas Tree This Season

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Gems Ownership Group announced today that they will be donating a special Gems themed Christmas tree to one deserving local family to help celebrate this holiday season. Local landscaping company Siebenthaler's has graciously donated the tree to be given to a family in need.
Fans can nominate any family they feel would be deserving of the tree, but the family must be located within the Dayton area. The nomination deadline is Tuesday, December 14th with the winner being announced on Thursday, December 16th. To nominate a family fans should email Kirstin at kirstin@daytongems.net (or visit www.daytongems.com) and all of the following information must be included for the family to be considered. That information is, your name, phone number, name of the family being nominated, phone number of the family being nominated (so that we can coordinate the delivery time of the tree) and why the family deserves to be chosen as the winner (in 250 words or less please).
The unique tree will be decorated with autographed ornaments and gifts courtesy of the Gems. Also included with the tree will be an autographed stick and team poster, tickets to upcoming games, a chance to sit on the bench during warm-ups, a tour of the Gems locker room, select merchandise from the team store and much more. To make the delivery even more special for the winner, some of the Gems players will personally be delivering the tree to their home. The Gems return home to Hara Arena on Thanksgiving Night this Thursday, November 25th to take on the Evansville IceMen at 7:00 p.m. Parking will be FREE for ALL fans that night and anyone that brings in a Canned Food item for the Gems Canned Food Drive will receive a special $8.00 ticket price. The Kettering Medical Center is proud to be the official title sponsor of the Gems for the 2010-11 season.
