Szuper Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Levente Szuper has been named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending November 21.
Szuper helped snap the Sundogs' eight-game winless streak with three wins in as many contests against the Bloomington PrairieThunder and Fort Wayne Komets last week, turning aside 108 of 113 shots for a .956 save percentage (SV%).
The Budapest, Hungary, native earned his first win of the season in a 3-2 shootout win over the PrairieThunder on Wednesday, Nov. 17, steering aside 41 of 43 shots through 65 minutes of play and six of seven skaters in the shootout.
Szuper followed up Wednesday night's outing with a 37-save performance in Friday night's 3-2 win over the Komets.
On Sunday, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound backstop won his and his club's third straight and nearly pitched his first shutout of the season, turning aside 30 of 31 shots in a 2-1 win after giving up a power-play goal with just 1:55 remaining in the contest.
Allowing just nine goals in his last four appearances, Szuper is 3-1-1 on the season and has earned points in his last four starts. His .933 SV% ranks second in the CHL while his 2.33 goals against average is eighth-best among league netminders.
