
Gelinas and Coldwell to Quad City

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Wild General Manage Brent Flahr announced on Tuesday that defenseman Guillaume Gelinas has been reassigned to the Quad City Mallards, Iowa's ECHL affiliate. Flahr also announced that defenseman Austin Coldwell has been released from a professional tryout agreement (PTO), allowing a return to Quad City.
Gelinas, 22 (6/14/93), made his Iowa season debut on Monday, going scoreless in a 2-1 Wild defeat. He played in 25 games for the Quad City Mallards this season. At the time of his recall, he was fourth on the team in scoring with five goals and 12 assists for 17 points. He appeared in 37 games for the Iowa Wild during his first professional season in 2014-15, scoring two goals and two assists for four points.
Coldwell, 25 (3/1/1990), made his AHL debut on Monday, going scoreless in a 2-1 Iowa loss. He is in his first professional season, appearing in 21 games for Quad City, scoring three goals and five assists for eight points. He made his professional debut in the 2014-15 season for the Mallards, tallying seven points in 12 games. The 6-foot, 195-pound defenseman played collegiately at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. He played four seasons in the WCHA for the Seawolves, helping them to the WCHA Final Five in the 2013-14 season. He scored 14 goals and 36 assists for 50 points in his NCAA career before turning pro after his senior year in 2014-15.
After the Christmas break, Iowa travels to Chicago on Dec. 26 and returns home for a game against the Rockford IceHogs on Sunday, Dec. 27 at 3 p.m. The Subway and Star 102.5 Combo pack is available for purchase for Sunday's game. Tickets are available online at www.Iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area. The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2015-16 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
