Fort Wayne, IN - Right-handed starting pitcher Josh Geer was activated from the Fort Wayne Wizards disabled list this morning and right-handed reliever Eddie Pena was sent to the San Diego Padres extended spring training camp in Peoria, Arizona.
Geer's activation from the DL comes just prior to the Wizards game at 11:00 a.m. against the Peoria Chiefs (Chicago Cubs affiliate). Geer, who is 3-0 with a 3.54 earned run average in five starts, will get the starting nod for Fort Wayne.
Pena was 0-0 with one save and a 4.76 ERA in 11 relief appearances. He allowed 19 hits and five walks, while striking out 14 in 17 innings of work.
