The same storm system that ended Wednesday night's game after six and a half innings prevented Thursday's game from even starting. There were standing puddles in both bullpens and all over the warning track making the field unplayable even if they rain had let up.

The Chiefs now head west to South Bend for a four game series with the defending MWL champion Silver Hawks. RH Mitch Atkins (2-0) will start the opener Friday againsta TBD starter at 5:30 PM Central Time. South Bend was also rained out on Thursday, canceling their 6:30 PM game before Noon. The broadcast begins with the pre-game show on www.peoriachiefs.com at 5:15 PM.
