Cougars and Lugnuts Cancelled by Rain
May 11, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Kane County Cougars News Release
Lansing, MI - Thursday night's game between the Kane County Cougars and Lansing Lugnuts at Oldsmobile Park was cancelled due to rain. The contest, which was supposed to be the finale of a four-game series, will not be made up because the teams don't play each other again in the first half of the season.
The Cougars (18-15), unable to get the chance to split the series, now head to Beloit, Wisconsin, for a four-game series with the Snappers that begins Friday night at Pohlman Field at 6:30 CDT. Jason Ray (1-1, 4.85), Thursday's scheduled starter, is the likely candidate to take the mound in the series-opener. The Snappers will send left-hander Ryan Mullins (1-0, 4.60).
