Gauthier Included in NHL Central Scouting Final Draft Rankings

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club is pleased to announce goaltender Taylor Gauthier (01) is ranked 19th in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings for the 2020 NHL Draft.
Gauthier, 19, had a record year this past season, setting career highs in wins (16), goals-against average (2.93), and save percentage (.917). He also earned two shutouts. He led the WHL in minutes played (2870) and was tied for the most games played (50). The Calgary, AB product was second in the WHL in shots faced (1677) and saves (1537). He was also named the WHL Eli Wilson Goaltending Goaltender of the Week for the week ending January 26th.
Gauthier has played in 137 career regular season games, posting 39 wins and owns a 3.28 GAA and a .903 SV%, to go along with five shutouts. The southpaw goaltender was drafted by the Cougars in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.
Gauthier climbed up eight spots from his midseason ranking of 27th.
